regarding the transition and where I see the Hive at present and in the future - this is a fully OOC message whilst I getto grips with the positions and political climate I am inheriting.
Once the message is approved by the moderator I'll paste the contents here also (forgot to copy before submitting and I am not typing that lot again!)
I will also be looking to send out a formal IC message to the IGN as soon as possible - although given the amount of work I need to do sifting through current positions this may not be this week.
basically the Hive are back and the Hive Queens have regained their status as the Hives rulers - there will be no future Emperors after the debacle of the so called Celsetial Emperor and the ARC are not considered gods by the Hive - that was a COH theme and is totally at odds with what the Hive beliefs are and have been for so long.

Yes I agree with what you are saying regards the apropriate forum for the message - the problem is not everyone will have access to the Yahoo Group - either through personal choice not to use Yahoo or some other secondary concern's.

Okay first of all this first message is primarily OOC so I can get
to grips with things that are happening.
As you may have read from Bent's mesage I am now controlling the
previous COH/HVE assets that are Ves Ghormen and it's associated
positions.
Guess first thing is who am I?
Some of you know me from way back when Phoenix first started (or BSE
as it was then) - others from my gaming since the Phoenix conversion.
I have played a number of roles from downright scoundrel (RIP) to
Swarmlord (HVE) and more recently Imperial Baron of Magnano not to
mention a couple of other roles in between.
My background is diverse and that is just as well considering the
current climate of the HVE in game.
So where are the HVE going now?
Well this is what brought me back to the HVE - the chance to bring
then back from the abyss that they currently face.
Firstly the Hive will be restructured to it's original intent - the
Hive Queens are the Hive mind and they rather than any Emperor are
the essence of any Hive. As such any and all Hive Queens are
regarded as Hive only items and will not be gifted traded or sold on
to any other party under ANY circumstance.
An official IC message will be prepared for the IGN shortly to
clarify what this means in game.
WOMD and Coombs incident.
Well this is a real mess from what I can see. I do not know where the
WOMD launchers or Nuclear missiles came from but I do know this is
out of keeping with the Hive perspective of combat - Hive are close
quarter fighters and the idea of blowing up a planet just does not fit
into the Hive ethos.
There are launchers and missiles currently at Ves Ghorman which will
not be there after Mondays processing - I am having them all
destroyed/ejected into a black hole. Not sure how they got there as
there is no supporting technology for these items anywhere in the
positions I now control.
As for Coombs - it's one of those deposits hitting the fan
scenario's where there is no easy IC position one can take, the ARC
and Ian Jordan have been implicated and from what I have seen I know
where I point the finger but I have no IC proof so I have decided to
remain silent on the subject of who did what when to cause this
incident.
My IC broadcast to the IGN will basically apologise for
this incident and now the CNF have the ex Emperor in custody they
will hopefully see his trial as an end to the matter and we can all
move on.
The Future:
The Hive are basically homeless right now - they reside in Tycoon
which is under the rule of others, my initial aim's are to secure
some kind of home system for the Hive from where we can look to
secure our future and move on from recent events.
The future political situation is rather fluid as there is no really
defined conflict that I have been made aware of that the Hive are
currently engaged in - the ARC vs TCA conflict is just that ARC vs
TCA and what the Hve where doing attacking a TCA creche I do not
know as this is more a COH stance than that of HVE, the COH worship
the ARC as gods whereas the Hive deposed their ARC oppressors a long
time ago. Personally I take the Hive position, the ARC are not gods
and we will not be following their orders in future - in fact if I
find ARC creche sites I will board their ships rather than interact
with them.
I hope that clarifies any issues that have arisen with the recent
departure of Bent and my position as new Hive leader.
I do wish to discuss the current political situation with each
affiliations spokespersons to clarify who is currently at war with
the Hive if anyone and to ascertain what access rights the Hive have
to your space and vica versa.
