What about orbital Mainteance / Recreation complexes which will mean a ship does not need to land. Orbital recreation facilities could use shuttles to get crew down to the planet if required. Andy

Set up an outpost in orbit. Or alternatively, come to the space station Solo Services (92594) in Gamma-10 in Solo which already offers maintenance and recreation facilities with zero docking time :-). Richard (apologies for the slightly tongue-in-cheek answer :-) )

Not a problem, the spacee station ain't going to last much longer! Thanks Andy

It means its better to run an orbital outpost for maintenance and recreation, than from a starbase? I think it shows even more how maintenance and recreation should not need you to land, as I had alwas thought starbases should be equal to, or better, than outposts in all things. Mandible

Good point - why would you have to setup an orbital outpost to save on TUs when the starbase can use orbital facilities. These orbital facilities should have minimal defencive values though and easily destroyed. |
