	Hi! How does research of stellar cartography work? I presume it is a tech (1000 mus). Is any techs needed for this research or can any starbase research it without penalty? Cheers, Peter

	Simply pick a system from which to look for direct links. Due to the nature of space (game mechanic), it is very unlikely that a star already having multiple links will have any more. Send in a special action 'Start research into stellar cartography, using X complexes with Y coversion. Once you have finished and there is a tech in the starbase (min 10 weeks later), perform a special action use the tech. If the stellar cartography identifies system links, they will be added to political knowledge. Not all stellar cartographies are successful. There are an infinite number of stellar cartographies for each system, each rated higher than the last. This said, each has an exponentially falling chance of revealing new systems. Therefore there is little point in pushing beyond the first, especially if it failed to reveal anything.
