Hi,

It is my intention to start a second FREE position in Phoenix. From my understanding I am allowed an unlilmited number of free positions and don't have to sign up for a political position if I choose not too (I know there are benefits - but i want another free one!).

I also want to run the second position within the same affiliation as the first and link the two to the same political position as and when i get round to it.

So i used the order editor and selected File > Create Startup. Emailled the results to phoenix@kjcgames.com as per normal and recieved a rejection saying that I could only use my email address for the one existing position.

Obviously, I could use a different email address - but this is inconvenient and I could get accused of cheating.

Any help on how to set up a second free position would be useful.

Thanks in advance.

As far as I'm aware, you're realistically only allowed to run one free position per person - hence the rejection email from KJC.

Aside from the 'political ships' positions have to be obtained from within the game, eg: by being bought, given to you or stolen from someone else.

If you are a member of an affiliation then it is up to them to give you the ships. All ships that you control will be a member of the affiliation that you currently belong to (PIR being the exception). Any ships given to you by your affiliation will remain their property unless they are flagged as player owned. If you leave your affiliation only positions owned by you, the player, go with you with the rest returning to your affiliation.

I believe you get a free broadsword when you start a political position and one of the benefits of a political is that all your assets are automatically linked to it (it uses your KJC account number which you need to pay them for your political).

Thanks for the info guys.

You've convinced me - I've just gone political.
