HI,

i was wondering if someone had an idea for what I should do with my Political position bloke.

He is currently sitting in the crew quarters of one of my starships - but this doesn't seem awfully safe as a long term home for him.

Should I:

a, Move him to somewhere safer (a starbase owned by my affiliation)?

b, Put him on a safer ship (the Broadsword that came with the political startup)?

c, Eject him into space (I don't usually like politicians...).

Any suggestions would be handy?

For a modest fee he can be kept quite "safe" and "secure" at a CIA Starbase... >:)

Failing that, you'd probably be safer keeping him at an Affiliation Starbase. Nasty things sometimes happen to ships (even inadvertantly) and it's been made VERY clear that losing a Political can be troublesome...

Make sure the owner of the starbase is trustworthy and isn't going to pull any practical jokes on your character such as changing your characters name by dpole. Not that I'd know anything about that though. No Siree.

If that horrible starbase owner does pull something like that you can always take your revenge by repainting the starbase with a skull and crossbones or alternatively painting a picture of the starbase owner on the floor of the starport with an eye patch, parrot and wooden leg and for the finale reprogram the loudspeakers to say "Sqwark, pieces of eight, Sqwark". But, I wouldn't know anything about that either.

You might also want to watch out that the Starbase governor is trustworthy enough not to, say, take your Political and keep him locked up in prison for several months until the 'error' is corrected.
