Yesterday I submitted a startup.trn file as an attachment to a email addressed to phoenix@kjcgames.com.

At this point I have not received a response, and was wondering if this was the correct method to submit the file, or should the content of the .trn file have been included as the message body.

Can someone please confirm what the correct method is, and how long it normally takes to get a response.
CNF Jon Tenor
I'd expect the response towards the end of today (most often 4pm - 6pm). Turns are accepted at about 7.30am each working day, and then the turn updates are sent out late afternoon.

I usually use attachments and it works fine. Incidentally, if for some reason it hasn't worked, you should be able to use this web form instead, I think - http://cgi.kjcgames.com/orders/startup.php

Hope that helps.

That is the correct method, although I've had problems with the wrong kind of encoding of attachments (can't remember now which was wrong and which right (UUENCODE I think failed).

I'm not sure if startup turns get a turn confirmation email, if they do you should have had that by now, if not you should get your startup turn between approx 4pm and 6pm GMT.

(If you download the latest turn editor it has an option to upload the turns directly to the KJC server rather than having to email them. Great option.)

Archangel??

That sounds like someone with feathers :-)

Archangel
Archangel was chosen because Airwolf was already taken.

Thank you Mr Jon Tenor. The URL was most useful.

Archangel
Thank you everyone for your responses, was much appreciated.

Still no return to my email nor the duplicate registration using the recommended URL above.

Replies have gone out now. Had anything yet?
Archangel
Nope, but I have just received a confirmation of my account creation.
Mica Goldstone
Excellent. Then your start-up position will be sent out at the end of today along with all other turns.
The next step is to get yourself an account and convince other players to hand over a fleet of ships along with a few dozen outposts and starbases, cut off all communucation with the outside world and dedicate yourself to the cause. wink.gif

Good idea...

And I am sure that Mica would pay the landlord of your house, send a guy over with grocery's and those other little things :-)
Archangel
Thanks very much... will try and exercise patience.

Can you confirm whether the fix I sent you for the Techmanual 1.7 has been implemented yet.
Mica Goldstone
I have not had an updated version from Dan (player responsible for code), so no, the download version has not been fixed.
Dan Reed
if there's a bug in the techmanual spreadsheet, could somebody send me the details?
