Hi,

I'd like to scan the vastness of space within a system for anything that's there...

'Detailed scan' order is for positions... needs a position number.

'Scan System' gives you all the 'known' info ie planets and moons etc.

'Scan Location' seems to suggest that you are looking for ships and bases (ie positions).

What i want to do is scan for:

Anomalies.
Large Asteroids.
Small Asteroids.
Empty space.
Space Dust.
Big Rocks.
Small Rocks.
Recently opened branches of Starbucks (they get everywhere!).

Etc etc etc...

So do I need to use the 'Scan Location' order or should I issue a specail action for each Orbital Quadrant I want to scan?

Thanks for any help.

GTDoug.

Scan location should do what you need, it scans through all the Cellestial Bodies in a quadrant. Note that it is also subject to the travel effects of the nebulas/asteroids its passes, while seraching / scaning the location.
