Just been doing some calculations on Mk1 Integrity Stabilisers, based on 100 hulls, and I've worked out that: Over the space of 50 weeks (IE: A game year) Heavy hulls save 25 patches (2500 MU production) Normal hulls save 2.5 patch (250 MU production) (Rounded down to 2 patches, 200 MU production) Light hulls save 0.5 patches (Rounded down to 0 patches) X-light hulls save 1 patch (Rounded down to 0 patches, at 0.5 patches per 2 maintenance runs in a year) This doesn't take into account that you lose integrity installing them in the first place. In other words - there's no point in using them on xlight/light hulls, and virtually no point using them in normal hulls. Agreed, it might be worthwhile if you have massive fleets of 100 heavy hull ships like the powerplay affs, but otherwise...? Please, either find an additional use for them or just take them out of the game altogether. | |

I will have to check with David but I thought that they also reduced the chance of taking integrity losses (or reduced the actual the integrity loss suffered) due to manoeuvres - obviously negligible in the case of heavy but can amount to a large saving in the case of xlight. |
