I usually don't disagree with anything that Mica does (especially not out loud biggrin.gif ), but it is just me or is selling private training type BPs something most would disagree with?

For instance, now people can train Dewiek crew and pilot our ships, without our involvement, which I see as a major problem. We have specifically controlled who has access to these "special" items and now a GM run starbase is underminding that completely.

Any thoughts?

Being a human affilation, which most people can get hold of easy enough, i must say it didn't occur to me. But now you mention it Mica might be better off just offering each to sell some to each affilation rather than on a public market.

The differences between races have been reduced enough already tongue.gif

Hadn't thought about it from that angle Ron, but you have a good point. It does greatly water-down the Racial Design TECH where ship design/building is concerned.

A shame. Prehaps EEM could be asked to carry out research on behalf of an affiliation for a cost. Done via SA, there could be some control on who can purchase what BPs...
Don't think that's the answer but also not sure what is. unsure.gif

I don't really see that any affiliation should have an exclusive call on any particular species. Also, if somebody has an affiliation they can recruit from, surely they could research the BPs in time anyway?

Finally, it's just soldiers and marines, so not all that relevant to crewing ships, is it?

Depends on how you roleplay...

I am a Xeno, so I have trouble relying upon other races...I do however, but only in extreme cases and in very low numbers.

Since you only need a some native Dewiek on a planet to research the Advanced Deweik tech etc then it's not really a limitation esp. as there are a number of Dewiek populations which are not under direct DEN control (which I think is as it should be).

In principle I do actually agree with Ron to the effect that the EEM probably would not access to all the relevant underlying techs/principles to create the BP's in the first place, however this does in effect clear the DEN of any blame should a pirate faction of Dewiek soldiers attack a Falconian starbase wink.gif
This said, the pirate still has to get his hands on Dewiek mercs in the first place.
The same applies to all other species.

Yeah, the Falconian Empire resent that opinion... Why not attack an nice kastorian starbase instead???

They got an small one on Spritzer, just waiting to be taken over...
