	ummm i was curious is the name we have to supply in the sign up sheet our real name??

	Hi, Yes, that is the players name. You can put anything in you want really, but it refers to YOU, not any ship captain etc. I would suggest that you use your real name in there, as KJC use it for you account details. The name you put in there is also the name that appears on the players list that your affiliation leader gets. If you're really anti using your full name, put something that you'd like to be called. Matt instead of Mathew Smith, etc. Although if you're used to being called Thing, that will be okay. Oh, and welcome aboard!

	As long as you are not trying to 'screw' the system by getting yourself multiple startups under different names, it has no real game impact. I rejoined the game under a false name to avoid this being broadcast to every polictical player who gets the 'New player' report for recruitment purposes. I've made a couple of attempts online, and one when topping up my account, to get it changed to my 'proper' name , to no avail. Doesnt seem to make any practical difference within the game. A big no-no is joining multiple times under different names to join more than one affiliation. This is against the rules and the spirit of the game, and earns the distrust of the other players. Leaving one aff to join another is fine, if you do it fairly and openly, but being in two at once is definitely out - Unless, under special curcumstances, the GM allows it. Lesley Forbes
