What bonuses can be applied to officers at starbases?

I read the skill training list of available options and was trying to see which ones best apply to the needs of ground combat and running of starbase combat etc.

Is this an area that has not been covered?

I think only the accuracy, leadership and sensor skills apply to starbases, not sure how much use any of them are mind you.

The dodge, navigation, flee, jumping and stealth only applies to ships. The other work on platform/SBs/Gps i think. Except when a position can not do the associated orders.

So, if I upgrade my Starbase governor three levels in Trade:

Trade [-1 Tus Transactions/lvl]

What happens? Since the transactions doesn't consume TUs for a starbase, does the bonus apply to all ships (& GPs) which transacts with the starbase (-3 TU / transaction)?

If so, what if the ship has a bonus too? I guess it's not accumulative...

The leadership skill says crew factors ..does that also increase the combat factors of troops?

The old officers I believe added their bonuses when it came to calculating control % during combat. Is this still the same with the leadership skill?

I don't fully understand ground combat so at a bit of a loss here.

The leadership skill does not give a bonus to ground factors.

Officers have had an increase in combat ability though, all mine appear to have 10 ground factors and cause 10 damage!

Maybe we can have some base governor skills.

Colonial Administration:Reduces effeciency loss due to insufficient employees.

Ground Combat Tactics:Increases ground defences damage and/or control factors.

Just a couple of examples.

I expect players can come up with more skills that could be introduced.

Yes, but firstly we have to worried about what has been added.
The dodge has already had to lead to other trims.

Well we can add anything now - its really easy to extend what has been done. I am now happy with the programming stuff for officers, before i was not. I even added officers to startup political ships, because they are easy and do not have wide ranging issues.
