Ok, previously I have had no problems, I have received all my turn reports as plain text, and saved them as text files through Outlook Express and then run them through the parser in the order editor.

Then it was suggested to me that I change the turn format to send as HTML as it made the turns easier to read when they were received. However now I can't save them as text files...

What is the way around this? I can't save the turn as a text file, and the parser won't parse an html file.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

I use Outlook Express, and what I do is...

Save my turns as HTML files (then print them out)
Open in an IE window, copy all
Paste into Notepad and save that as a txt file
Then run the Parser with that

I haven't worked out what I'm doing with all this Parsing and Texting, but hey... it works! biggrin.gif

Were someone foolish enough to want to have a go with the HTML format, how would one go about doing so?

#1) Make sure you are using the newer Order Editor (v1.4.0 or later - it shows on the title bar)
#2) Select a position and then go to the Full Orders drop down and look for the Change Print Type order
#3) Select the tickbox if you want all of your positions to be returned as HTML

Can someone explain what the parser does and how to use it please?
I've tried to get it to generate maps of planetary scans but it doesn't seem to want to do anything...
