| Hi all, How about having an order "GPI area in detail" - much the same as GPI row, but you give an area rather than a section of a row. GPIing large areas isn't the most efficient strategy in terms of game time, but I'd happily trade that in for less real-world effort. An extension of this could be a "And don't come back 'til you're finished" tick-box: the ship would generate a turn when in started the order, then nothing until it finished the survey. This might be 6 months or a year later. This would reduce the number of turn emails that the player had to manage. yours, rob | |||||

| I can see how this would be advantageous as you would have some idea from previous GPI's of what area rare ores supplies are concentrated on the planet. GPI area in detail would save time in finding them. I don't like the "don't come back until you're finished checkbox". I always want to see every turn as it tells you whata other ships have passed through so you can flee before a big fleet arrives (If you're in enemy territory that is, not that I'd know aout that of course!) | |||||

Thats a macro - so it will be covered by something that sumbits lots of GPI rows.
You can not do that sort of thing with ships - they are not set up like that. However i think that you can do it with a platform however i would have to test to be sure exactly what happens. (its a derived feature that i have never tested) |
