| Hi, The TM for cryobays is as follows: Cryo Pods (129) - 25 mus Cryopods are chambers were life forms can be held in stasis during space travel. Without the need for living quarters, larger quantities of life forms can be transported. Item Type: Ship item Required Crew Factors: 1 Tech Level: 2 Requires Blueprint: 10129 Build Requirment: 15.00 Metals (1) 6.00 Hydrocarbons (3) 2.00 Collidium (31) 2.00 Fibrillium (32) Cargo Space: 15 mus (Life) Defence: 5 mus If they are held in stasis, then how come crew etc stored in them have their crew factors added to a ships crew factors. I have a ship solely with cryobays and it runs fine (not that I should therefore be complaining but you know Also, since the crew etc are in stasis, then why should you have to pay for their upkeep? They're hardly doing anything. You have to pay for delivery/collection so this means it is only worth doing this if you keep them in stasis for more than 3 weeks. I don't think this can even be abused seriously. Yes, costs can be reduced but at a possible price. e.g. if someone put all their spare crew/marines etc in stasis to reduce costs and the ship is attacked, the ship could easily be destroyed. If the ship is docked at a Starbase for protection, but the starbase is attacked, then it would be pinned so the ship cannot deliver the needed crew/troops to help out the attacked positions from being captured. Yes, teleporters get around this, but perhaps the Starbase needs to teleport in other things as well...... | |

| Hi, I agree that they shouldn't add to crew factors. But I think they should stil be paid - they didn't ask to be put in status, and they still might have families to support, have direct debits to pay etc |
