In a recent ground battle in which I got toasted (*cough*) I had Heavy Combat Shuttles which automatically set the ground party spread to disperse.

The starbase I was attempting to attack (*cough splutter*) was set to Packed.

It seemed, although I can't be sure, the ground party stayed in the disperse spread type during the combat instead of changing to packed .

The ground party was 29856.

Can you check this please.

That's something that appears to happen.

Before I left Hive we had little fooling around and couldn't at first change it. After alerting Mica that we couldn't change the spread prior to combat, he tweaked the fighting so that once we did engage we were set to packed

Was it Short range (control factors) or standard combat with teh gPs ?
