	When you're tooling tech, and on the previous printout it said one week to go, is it ok to start a research project for this week's update or do i have to wait another week to avoid the penalty?

	Good question. From the rules: "it only takes a week to untool any piece of technology although any attempt to use it during the time of untooling will fail." It could be assumed that untooling happens before research? It could therefore be assumed that tooling does also, but a definitive answer would be great.

	Techniques complete their tooling just before research projects convert. Or at least, that is the order that they show up on the starbase report. I assume this means that you could set a research project to convert in the same week as the tech tools and you would _not_ suffer the penalty, but I haven't tried it! Richard AFT
