Hi all,

Does anyone know what the latest submission time is for orders to be processed that same day. If you do, please supply this in UTC (GMT) time.

The reason I ask, is that sometime I submit my orders but although I receive notification of receipt and processing, I do not receive a response for more than 24 hours. Note this has only happened once or twice, and I was wondering if a late submission time may be the cause.

A daily run starts by grabbing all available turn orders by accessing the email box and those already present in the turns directory. Only turn orders present at this time are included during the day's run.

This normally occurs at 7.30am so turns submitted prior to this time will be run on the same day (exceptions have occured).

Orders uploaded to the online order editor or created using the order editor can theoretically be downloaded all the time. They are stored in a turns directory. They will only become part of the day's run if they are are present at the start of the run.

So a turn created on the online editor or uploaded to the online editor may be downloaded at 8am, you will be notified at 8am that a turn has been received by KJC, but the turn will have missed the day's run and will be processed on the next day.

How about a slight wording change to the notification emails?

Have the one that notifies reciept of uploaded turns say so - "The following turns have been successfully uploaded to the Phoenix server", and likewise the notification of turns to run that day say that - "The following turns have been queued for processing".

(Or something along those lines :)

Just to save confusion...

Sounds reasonable.

Hi Mica,

Thanks for your answer, however you omitted to mention the timezone for the 07:30 run.

It should be 7:30 am GMT AFAIK. I've sent turns at 11:30 PM PST (8 hours behind GMT) and they've been processed without a hitch - much later than this though and they go missing for a day.

Thank you Rich. I assumed that to be the case, but as you know, emailing to a UK address does not guarantee that it is processed in the same location let alone in the same time zone, hence the rather pedantic check

KJC are a British company, based in Blackpool, NW England. All times will be GMT.

no, they'll be 07:30 GMT in the winter, and 07:30 British Summer time (GMT+1) in the summer

Oops, yes sorry I forget that GMT isn't BST smile.gif

Actually as well, I think the confirmation emails may actually say "received" and "processed", although they could be maybe clearer (and put in the subject line).

The first one is from KJC and the second one is from the Phoenix-server.
I think its already obvious. But who am I???
