Couple of question on conducting explorations/mineral checks on the surface of a planet. 1. With ground party, can you equip them w/exploration mod by itself -- just it and crew/soldiers? 2. "3: No." I seem to remember the Tech manual suggesting that more than one might have a benefit. I ran a very minor field test, comparing using one Exploration module against a team using more than one, and noticed no difference. Which isn't to say there isn't some advantage to it, just that I didn't find one. ![]() | |||

Further to this note that a GP with an exploration mod but no transport will not have independent movement. Either shuttles or land transport with enough cargo capacity for the exploration mod will be needed (...indeed it ideally should have enough space for all the crew too, otherwise at best, the GP will move at walking pace) | |||
