Hi all, (this might have fitted better into 'Proposals', but i don't seem to be able to start a new topic there) As I understand it, if a starbase attacks a ship (because of its enemy list) and the ship escapes before battle occurs, no battle report is generated. When the starbase does its next update, the turn will have a single line that says something like: Date 24.3: FGZ SHIP ATAT TRIAD (xxxx) - {20 Normal Hulls} - Attacking Meanwhile, the player running the ship will get their turn back that day, with the same information on. I propose that a separate email similar to a battle report should be generated in this instance, at least for the starbase player. Reasoning: 1) The ship player gets to know about the attack straight away, the starbase player has to wait up to a week. As I demonstrated this week, failed attacks can still stir up conflict. In my case, if Alun hadn't posted to the forum I wouldn't have known about it for several days. 2) Even a failed attack is a big event, not on the scale of an actual battle but far more important than 'Attacking'. It deserves special treatment. rob

Does no one have an opinion on this at all? rob

I've had no experience of battle (BSE or Phoenix) so can't really comment too much. However, if this is how it happens then I think its only fair that any positions involved in a battle should be sent the same information (from their perspective of course) at the same time and in the same way.

i would like a report, i had 2 starbase battle updates, a ship which just included a was attacked, was quite hard to find the info on both my starbases, as they had alot of orders running. After some days i now know it was a starbase which attacked my starbases and ship, but it took days to get that info, before that it still took me a few hours to find an info about a battle that was manually cancelled, but i first thought that it was ground attacks, so some more info on a seperate report would be real nice ![]() |
