| I've noticed a lot of the systems in the game are claimed on behalf of an affiliation by an outpost, to me this seems wrong. I think if an affiliation whats to claim a system it should have to at least maintain a functioning starbase in the system as the system claimant. Kerry | |||

i don't think it matters what is used to claim the system, what matters is if the affiliation is able to maintain its claim on the system should any other affiliation challenge for it. | |||

| This is really an IC matter rather than a game mechanics issue I think. An aff/individual may choose not to recognise a claim without a starbase present, but that's their choice. As Emma says, if it can be defended, that's all there is too it. (Ask the FEL ;p) | |||
