a starbase or outpost with charged shield complexes has it's shield factors reduced to zero? As I understand it, charged shield complexes multiply factors and charging rates, but add to the shield depth. Is this understanding right? and if so, what happens when remaining factors get reduced to (or towards) zero? I can think of three alternatives: 1 - you end up with an irreducible minimum shield depth (of the value added by the complexes) 2 - the shield depth collapses to zero when the last factors get knocked down by enemy weapons (and then recharged so spring back up? if so it's the same as 1 above?) 3. the augmented shield depth reduces in a steady curve towards zero as the augmented shield factors get depleted Dan
