Hi

This was reported a while back on the Yahoo groups found here:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/KJC-Phoenix/...x/message/11054

and was seen happening the other day. I was attempting to make a house call to see if the FEL could lend me some sugar (I was trying to board a ship) and they had most rudely moved away first .. in fact changed systems and were at that moment in Battlefield (I was not and don't even know how to get there) but there ship was informed that I was attempting to board them. Here are the snippets:

Me:
TU 151: Board Position {61773}

Error - Can not find position at this location.

Total TU cost for this action is 10

Them:
Starting Location:
Docked at FEL STARBASE New Hope (xxxx) - Battlefield System (xxx)

Crew are working more efficiently due to R&R.

IND SHIP xxxxx (xxxx) tried to board us but failed.

TU 68: Maintenance Complex Visit

Bit of a problem this one...

love and hugs

I've had something simular where someone has tried to pick up items from my starbase when they were in a totally different system - on this occasion the accidently entered the wrong position number to get my starbase rather than the ship they wanted to transact with, but the results the same.
To them it was reported that they wern't in the correct location, to me it reported that they didn't have correct security to collect the item (Stargate Keys if I remember correctly). ohmy.gif

I think it must be a bug relating to the order in which the checks are done. I would think that it should check if the target of the transaction (whatever form that takes tongue.gif ) is there. If it's not found then the program should break from the order-processing loop and just report that the position wasn't located.

I can't see any reason (realistic or game-balance wise) that the target position should know about the faillier if it is due to being in the wrong place. Granted, if you were at the correct location then the FEL should be very aware that your ship just pulled up along side them... biggrin.gif
