| Do alien attack animals actually do something? They are not listed as a trade item but are also not listed as a ground defense item. | 2527 Alien Attack Animals (707) - 1 mus 2527 | Nic | |||

| At the moment they are not listed as 'slaves', i.e. rebellious, as we found that at the time of the conversion, there were a few class 7+ starbases with hundreds of thousands of these life forms but less than a handful of people. The result - instant rebellion and loss of starbase. We will be putting the rebellion/mutiny/breakout code back in, in a short while. Be warned! | |||

| so all they do is revolt. Will they get a ground defense setup when you add this slave code back? Looks like the DTR will have to release all ours due to them being slaves Nic | |||

By being animals (and not sentient creatures) is this not a slight inaccuracy to call them slaves? While they have the game-mechanic of being a "slave" doesn't mean that the DTR have to consider them as slaves. I would not consider non-sentient creatures to be classed as slaves, or I'd have to let all my cows go wild.....

They are classed as slaves simply because they cannot be domesticated. Nobody would want 150kg of claws, teeth and ravenous bellies marching through their starbase without some form of control. This is a game mechanic rather than a moral stance.

| Will they have any sort of game mechanic benefit apart from adding to the size of the colony, and as Nic says being able to revolt? | |||
| Mica Goldstone | |||
| Yup, they have basic combat stats so are included in combat on the side of the owner. | |||

| Cool. Thanks. |
