I recently had a player move to another aff. Prior to the move, the player in question owned two positions, one player-owned and one affiliation-owned. My understanding was that when the player left, the affiliation-owned position should revert to the affiliation, i.e. stay within the AFT. However the positions actually both moved to the player's new affiliation, with the old aff-owned position just becoming an aff-owned position within the new affiliation.

This is I assume most definitely a bug - players should not be able to walk off with aff-owned assets whenever they wish.

...and it's not even as if we got paid for the value of the aff-owned ship that transferred (I've just checked the movement in aff funds...)

As far as I was aware, attempts to leave an affiliation whilst in the position of an affiliation owned asset were blocked. Looks like a bug.

When I left Hive, it worked fine!!!

I thought that aff owned positions would be left behind as I left, but I had to wait until the issue passed before being able to leave.

Maybe you should consider changing that?? Players leave and the AFF owned positions are automatically removed and gievn to the PD.

I'm sure that the PD wouldn't mind the extra Starbase Turns being run against their account when someone leaves wink.gif

I think that whenever a colony is transferred it gets automatically outposted to prevent this happening.

Its a bug smile.gif You could issue the order on a aff owned position and that position would be allowed to go through. All others would be tested.

Do we prefer automatic transfer aff AFF assets, back to aff or a block to get player to do it.

I'd prefer all assets being transferred to the PD with starbases being converted to outposts and updates of all positions being sent to the PD (last turns with transfer stated as has been done before)

In this case I would assume the outpost and platform updates would be free. Otherwise those PD's that aren't paying extra for unlimited updates per week (if there are any!) would get a nasty surprise! ohmy.gif

Notes that positions are now converted which means i went into a massive debt for a week or so. I was expect the positions to remain as starbases.. ahh well tongue.gif looks like i should have read this bug posting first.
