| I had a ship picking up crew and marines from the debris of an IMP ship run by another player. The ship picked them up but promtly made them prisoners. If this is not a bug it should be. If picked up by their own affiliation crew, etc, should surely not be imprisoned for getting their ship blown up. Geoff | |||

| when picking up crew from debris you need to use the position security code to prevent the crew turning into prisoners. This is in the rule book. | |||

Is this only if you don't (or I suppose didn't) own the position yourself?

yes - its a security check which means you have to own it or provide the security code.

| so what happens when the prisoners when you get them back? I had two officers rescuded and returned to me and I have just noticed thay are classed as prisoners Titus | |||

| put them on trial, free them, do what you want with them... by not using the secure code (or it being your own position) you are capturing them instead of rescuing them. That can be perfectly consistent with them being from your own aff - you may decide to court marshal them for losing the ship in the first place Dan | |||

This is not always possible and I think that there should be an affiliation check as well. Making your own people prisoners just does not make sense. Geoff |
