We discovered some time after the fact that the disband order deleted all the squadrons with the same number. The bug was immediately fixed but it appears that all squadron 1's in the game were wiped from the database although the ships still showed that they were part of the squadron. If this has effected you, i.e. you had squadron 1, then check with other affiliation members to determine if there is a new squadron 1. If not, then issue the create order again for exactly the same squad name. If not, then you have to form a new one, have all your ships leave the old one (it will say that they are leaving the new squad 1...) and then join the new one. Sorry for the inconvenience.
