I think in this context Slave is a term used by the phoenix program/game database to classify items. It does not imply that the item in question is illegal or morally questionable. We've had such a discussion before when somebody noted that Alien Attack Animals are classed as Slaves - some players argued that having them therefore implied slavery by the affiliation owning them. Slave item class = OOC! I'm not sure if they were carried over to Phoenix, but in BSE there was an item named Pleasure Slaves and in Phoenix terms it would be a living trade good, not a slave item. Slave items provide work hours, control- or combat factors. Therefore: IC Slavery = nothing to do with item class. |
