Was purusing an update of a position that has a captured enemy officer on it, and I noticed that the update mentioned that I had paid his salary (and the salary of the CIA officer commanding the position).

Is this an example of the "Kinder, Gentler CIA"? I'm about ready to execute both of them for embezzelment... dry.gif

Well, I suppose it's allright now because I got the following:

Seems that as long as I pay them their salaries, even officers that are prisoners will loyally command my ships for me. Talk about effective CIA Brainwashing! biggrin.gif

I think it MAY be a bug that prisoner officers can command their imprisoning ships/positions... cool.gif

Something odd is going on for sure. I accidentally picked up an IMP prisoner officer for one of my warships yesterday, and they didn't take command, they went into lifeforms instead:

Well, after going back and searching through the turns, it appears that the prisoners do not in fact command the ship (no notice on the target lists section that lists can be used). I think that it may just be a problem with the notification hierarchy on the delivery order - as they are an officer, the standard 'officer leaving the ship' message is delivered.

...I'm still paying prisoner officer wages though, and not too pleased about it dry.gif

Even prisoners need to eat, it's probably costs like that, you can't treat your prinsoners like slaves now can you...
