	I wanted to transfer a squadron of ten ships to another IMP player, I did the orders in the following sequence. Transfer 1 ship, transfer Command of the Squadron to the recipient's political, transfer the rest of the ships. Result, all the ships left the squadron on transfer . If this is not a bug can we have a "Transfer Squadron Ships" order? Geoff

	It is my understanding that it should be sufficient to merely transfer command of a squadron to another player and thus it is not necessary to transfer ownership of the members of that squadron. It is also my understanding that as long as the different members of a squadron remain cohesively organized the commander of the squadron will be able to move all members of that squadron without necessarily having direct control or ownership of each of the squadron members. I believe given your order sequence, the reason the ships left the squadron was because they had been transferred to another player who did not command nor own the squadron that the were currently members of. i.e. The causes of the results you received is a direct consequence of the sequence of the orders that you executed.

	The objective was to transfer the ships to the other player AND command of the squadron. The sequence was to ensure that he "owned" one of the ships in the squadron before transferring command, on the grounds that command cannot be exercised unless you are running a ship in the squadron to act as "command". The complaint is that the ships were removed from the squadron by the game system on transfer and not by an act of will by either player involved. Fortunately the player involved, who had not run a squadron before and so was not aware that details should be displayed in the Command section of the ship turn, decided to try it out with a simple move. Had he waited until the ships were to be deployed operationally they would have missed the battle. This could cause other ships that did arrive to be disadvantaged. On previous occaisions the transfer of squadron ships between players has not affected the ships' squadron membership. Something has changed and I consider it to be a bug. Geoff
