I issued a squadron order to pickup ore type at an outpost. The first ship had the orders below and picked up the ore:

>TU 95: Pickup Item Type {xxxx} {49} {6500} {} {Install - No}
Warning - Insufficient ore space, quantity reduced to 4000.
You picked up 4000 Metals (1) from DTR xxxx (xxxx).
Picked up 4000 mus of Ore items.
Total TU cost for this action is 10

The next ship only picked up the remaining 2500 rather than the full 6500:

>TU 95: Pickup Item Type {xxxx} {49} {2500} {} {Install - No}
You picked up 2500 Hydrocarbons (3) from DTR xxxx (xxxx).
Picked up 2500 mus of Ore items.
Total TU cost for this action is 10

The third and rest of the ships had the following:

>TU 95: Pickup Item Type {xxxx} {49} {0} {} {Install - No}
Error - Position did not have any Ore items.
Total TU cost for this action is 10

So they tried to take nothing.

As it currently stands, the squadron as a whole is defined as taking 6500MU whereas I expected each ship would take 6500MU. I can see the reasoning for the former, but would prefer the latter as an option.

Also, the error message above is wrong as there was 100k of ore present. Thanks,

Nik

I've done multiple ship pickup orders where i have specified the item id which seemed to work fine. So if it is a bug it only looks to effect item type pickups.

One question did you get just one update for the lead ship or one for each ship with the squadron orders, just wondering if on one update it gets confused and works it out for as thought it is one ship.

Possibly it's ment to work like this so you can treat a squadron as a single ship.

This might be because the pick up item type order always works with MUs whereas the pick up item works with the number of items irrespective of MU's.

I found this up when I ordered a ship to deliver the 40 modules it had to an outpost by issuing an order to deliver 40 items of module type. Rather than deliver the 40 modules the ship had in cargo, the ship delivered 1 module and headed back to base!
