I had 2 individual squadrons move today and wrongly report that a ship had caused an excessive loss of tu's and thus did not move.

The squadron had a mixed amount of tu's but the ship with the smallest amount had enough to perform the task but was thwarted by the message a slower ship causesd loss of tu's.

Is the differential from one ship being applied to all ships in the squadron?

Example:
Ship 1 : 300tu
Ship 2 : 200tu
Ship 3 : 100tu

Ship 1 is processed first and the diiference between Ship 1 and Ship 2 is 100 tu so this is removed from ship 1 bringing it in line with ship 2.
But is this -100tu then being applied to ship 3 as well as it seems like something like this is happening.

I am losing tu's wrongly all the time when there are multiple ships within a squadron with different tu's.

Out of interest....
So next time you run an update for the Squad, are they all starting with the same TUs and functioning 'normally' and as expected?

Is it just a bug when you create a new Squad? I only have one, and have had no problems with it so far - but it only has 2 ships rolleyes.gif

A squadron moves at the speed of the slowest ship and so movement costs are based on those of the slowest ship in the squadron.

If you have a squadron of ships with different speeds there is always a risk of a faster ship not having enough TUs when calculated at the rate of the slowest.

Yes indeed I have had this happen in the past to myself where another slower ships has casued all to stop as it did not have enough tu's.

In the instance I was referring to the ship that had the least tu's with the slowest ISR etc was the ship that had all its tu's removed before doing anything.
This ship I would of thought would have had its tu level passed to al the other ships in the squadron before any movement commenced.
It was also the position that had the orders for the sqadron issued to.
