Hi, I have a sneaking suspicion this problem has already been raised somewhere, but I can't for the life of me find it, so apologies if I'm rehashing old ground here. I downloaded and installed the latest version of the order editor last night. And instantly ran into a couple of problems. One - losing all my data, has been fixed by copying over my old data.cfg file from my Phoenix back-up, and replacing the new one that was created by the installer. However, the second problem is more serious. I seem to have lost the drop-down boxes attached to most of the orders. For example, Move To Starbase now just has a box for inputting the number, there is no drop-down box next to it containing all of the starbases that I know. Likewise with Pick Up Item, there is no Item Type drop down box. And set combat options. In fact, though I haven't gone through them all, it seems like almost every order that had a drop down box, now doesn't. And, uhm, can anybody tell me how to get them back please? The old memory isn't what it once was, and it's really handy to have the confirmation that you've entered the right starbase number, and you're not going to take an accidental trip to somewhere you shouldn't. Thanks for your time.

Although i havn't tried it myself, i think the suggested soultion was to click the update option in one of the menus so it gets a new orders.cfg file.

Hi, Yup, performing an internet update seems to have fixed it. Fingers crossed. S.

I think the issue here is that ppl copy their data.cfg over the orginal after installing the new version. This will therefore mean that none of the drop down boxes that are now stored in the data.cfg are lost. Internet upgrade or reinstall over the new data.cfg will sort it. |
