There were some spurious errors with the turn generation at the end of Tuesday. Some turns, namely a few that were involved in the battle, were generated as output files (i.e. with formating code) but failed to convert over to finished files. A check of the files reveals that the output file was then not stored. No data was actually affected by this as it is a separate operation to processing and only changes printouts, not data files. David will look into this upon his return.

The problem was that too many targets (printed as a single line) meant that there was a buffer overflow in the printing routine. This is something to do with max characters being around the 4000 limit. There should not have been any lost turns today and we will check tomorrow (and again until David returns from holiday). One of the unforeseen problems with having close to 200 ships engaged in battle.

After next update you can have as many targets as you like, and the output routine will not break ![]() |
