| I have a base running a MP line with 10 factories producing shields. This line is kicking out 45 shields a week, that's 450 MUs of production. Why is this lines mass production total less than the 500 Mus that I would get by just ordering 10 factories to produce the shields? I know that the more factories you add to a line the bigger the production bonus, but surely 10 factories set to mass produce should kick out more than 500 Mus per week. | |

| your 10 factories wouldnt kick that amount out, unless you only had 10 factories, you would probably only get 10mu's per factory if you didnt convert them to mass producing. mass production is fairly much the same as in real life, the larger the process and the more invested into it production the more output, if you increased this to 20 factories for instance you would see and increase in your per factory output. and so on......... it does top out though........... | |

| The rulebooks were written/proofread before this was finalised and say "approximately 50" for mass production - but the exact figs are 45 per factory for the first 10 50 for factories 11 to 20 55 for factories 21 to 40 50 for factories 41+ Compare that with normal production, where you get 50, 40, 30 20 and then 10. So if you have three (or three hundred) lines of mass production with 10 factories all of them get 450 MU's worth. If you did that with normal production you'd get a lot less done for your factories!
