If you recieved a turn failure today for a position you were fairly confident that you did not send, then it is because you didn't.

A player sent their data.cgf instead of their turn file attachment. This obviously has lots of position info which triggered as attempted turns - obviously with no password - so a complete failure resulting in lots of failed turn emails. ohmy.gif

What about if you 'did' send in a turn for that position but you got back a turn fail. Will those turns still be run???

When a turn comes in, it is first checked to determine if the password is correct. It not, it is rejected prior to any attempt at overwrite etc. This means that if a correct turn is present before the failed turn, it will remain, i.e. not be deleted or overwritten. Yes, it will still be run.

Obviously there will also be no effect on turns checked after the failure either.

This might not strictly be an bug, but I would really like to have that the computer ASKS me to confirm sending the turns with the off-line editor before he does it.

You can easily send in some turnfiles without really wanting to do so.. and it doesn't seem that the software always use the last version you have sent.
