I issued political orders the other day to create a naval officer on board a ship which already had one. This officer was due to be transferred to another vessel the same day the new officer was created, but due to a hiccup in my orders the ship had two officers for a couple of days. Today I transferred the more experienced officer to another ship. The vessel with the new naval officer seems to think it has a civilian officer aboard, and all ship lists were cleared. I am tomorrow trying to deliver the new officer and pick him up again, in the hope that the ship will re-detect him as a naval officer.

I would guess this is because lists are cleared when a naval officer is transferred off a vessel, without checking whether there is another naval officer still on board. Richard AFT

Sorry, simply not enough information here. The code appears to be correct. We need the turns showing how all this went down etc.

Turn result back today, delivering and picking up the same officer failed to give me naval officer list capabilities. Mica, what email address should I send the turns to? Richard

Problem over - just got my political turn back, the officer was created as a civilian officer because the ship already had a naval officer in place. Lesson learned - a ship cannot have a naval officer created for it when one is already present.

That was not the intention, and its fixed in the code - will be updated next week. |
