	One of my freinds signed up to phoenix today via the funky new signup form, it appears to have some intressting issues. Firstly the whole thing runs slowly although that could just be an 'intresstingly' setup pc, (it runs slowly on my pc just viewing the page and moving the mouse around though). However this is just a minor bug. The big two bugs that are that firstly you can select any affilation, this includes PIR and EEM (which my freind pointed out he should have tried to join ) not that it really matters what you said becuase he, obvoisuly, selected RIP yet appears to be in IMP. (accurding to the online ordereditor after he signed up, no idea what the turn result was will ask later... but even if it's fixed there is still strange) Obvousily this isn't really a problem as he can change, but as i would like more players i think making the signup process so bad is not a good reflection on the quailty of the game.

	Just heard from him, yes he's IMP dispite the selection on the form... *sigh* damn imperial talent scouts

	It turns out that you can't join the EEM after all - it just ignores your choice if you select it :-)

	It has been my experience with two previous new player registrations that the selected affiliation was totally ignored. I do not believe that this component is properly functional.
