Is it possible that some boxes are put back in the order editor. For example, the move to Starbase order only has Starbase number and the box to tick to dock. The starbase name now doesn't appear. I would _really_ like the Starbase name box to appear again as there are a number of Starbases with very similar numbers out there and wanting to dock with New Tate but ending up being blasted by an IMP Starbase due to a typo would really piss me off. At least I can see that New Tate comes up and then know that I have the right base. Move to (system) quad, the quad name has disappeared. This makes me have to think that alpha is 1 etc. Yes, call me brain dead but I like these double checks. Same again with move to planet XY/orbit, there is no planet name. Add to support/defend etc the type box has disappeared. So is a position 0 and an affiliation 1 or the other way around? Equip operative, GPI whatever etc etc etc. Given that this is so frequent, why was it done??? Apart from the fact that I HAVE to use 1.4.0 due to some new orders, currently I don't want to touch it with a barge pole (I'm sorry to say). Nik

Offline order editor v1.4.0? Using that here and I have dropdowns on "Move to starbase", "Move to system quad" and "Move to quad". Might want to try running the "Upgrade from internet" to make sure you're running the latest version of the orders file.

Some of this looks like the infodata.dat is not there. Try either upgrading from the internet.
Looks like you have no positions in your data. I assume you created a fresh directory. Try importing the data (on the file menu) from the old order editor. Should read all the Starbases.
I was not intentional to lose all the boxes, their data was put in an external file so that it could be updated. |
