ISP's are the factories of the Devil, staffed by halfwits.

60 days ago we were informed that they would be implementing a new plaform and deleting the old. Due to new features all cgi pages should be loaded onto the mirror site ccgi.

When specifically asked if the ccgi platform would become cgi when the cgi platform was removed, we were informed YES. Having read that cgi would be no more after the 21st, we checked again.

Force 9 Customer Support Centre Actioned : Dear Mr Goldstone,
The CCGI address is only whilst the old server is active, once the old server is removed the cgi.kjcgames.com will work (assuming it is setup).

I am sorry that this was not explained before.

Regards,
Kevin Scott

Today we are happily informed that this is not the case at all. So please bare with us while we rush through every single link we have changing them all to ccgi.

Can i just point out that anyone using the market tools i wrote to get the trade info will find they don't work because of this.

Also can i mention that Force 9 could fix solve this in a matter of seconds by just pointing cgi. correctly. ISP's offically suck.

We asked this, but no, apparently they can't which is why we are so very annoyed. They gave some dubious response about not being a hosting service - new one on us.

I expect however that sometime over the weekend, someone with a dangerous amount of knowledge will read my official complaint and and decide that they can 'fix' it back to cgi after we have changed all the links.

Be fair Dan,

They'd have to at least know how to type 'multiple domains apache' into the google search box.

How to have the editor upload orders with the new address? I don't use the online editor because it's easier for me keeping the records on the pen drive, but I also don't like sending the orders via mail
ptb
1) Click start and choose run
2) Type 'regedit' and press enter
3) Follow the path to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Skeletal/PhoenixUtil"
4) Change the value of "UploadSite" to "ccgi.kjcgames.com"
5) Run the offline editor and uploading should work smile.gif

Disclaimer: If the Sol system blows up from following these steps I take no responsiblity.

The ccgi thing is probably blocking the auto-update.

Download the editor - update on website. This is now version 1.4.2.
