How is it possible that someone was able to see the SA I did on some prisoners taken from a pirate ship??? Tony Habergahm was able to pickup a copy of the SA while using the online editor ... not the result mind you, but a word for word copy of the SA itself taken from my turn (also done on the editor). How do I know that other sa's I have done have not ended up in the hands of my enemies? The SA I did was shown on IRC .... Gordon "not a happy camper" ![]()

Was this during the time when the ordereditor was being bad? Because i've noticed sometimes it would show me the wrong ship details (one that wasn't mine) so i'd refresh the page. Not had that for a while though, seems like they fixed it.

Before the fix the session data would go AWOL - this was due to F9 using multiple serves and session data was split over them. We suspect that using the editor at that time meant that users may have been assigned the wrong session data (i'm sure there is a better techie answer). We are a little surprised that somebody would show this on IRC rather than contacting KJC regarding the error. As this data was supplied to another player in error, it is demanded that no in-game use of the knowledge is made. Can you confirm that the special action was prior to the fix?

I am at work currently so I cant see the date of the SA. But you can check it as it was done at Outreach. Not the last SA, but the one prior. There is no vital information in the SA wording other than interrogate the prisoners etc etc. So no harm there, just caught me by surprise. However, speaking of the online editor. Monday there was still problems with orders jumping to other ships/bases. I had problems with tooling some tech at Antioch as it kept jumping to the ship I had done just prior to doing the base turn. The text itself was never shown on IRC. The fact that this was possible was discussed extensively. As I knew who was might be doing the SA I asked TonyH to confirm the text to me, so that we could check it was indeed the latest one and not an leftover.. So, if there is somebody to blame than it must be me..

Noone to blame. Just nice to know about. It might be worth mentioning that he got the SA from the online editor last night. The information is still floating around then. Gord

Is this Monday 17th? If so, did you have two browsers open and both logged into the order editor at the same time? This would definitely cause problems and should never be done. As for the special action, it was probably dumped into the database under the wrong position (when things were going wrong) so it was shown on the next time the player accessed the position it was saved to. There may be a few more instances of this still to come.

No, I never have the editor open in two browsers when I do turns. And the SA was done Oct. 12, or rather it was run that day. The turn itself was sent on Oct 11. Gord

Errr... I was using firefox, last night, as normal, with two tabs open showing the order editor: One showing the 'information' page, and one actually for entering orders. I must admit I sometimes accidentaly 'transmit' from the info page... nobody told me it was wrong... I thought the SA text was pretty innocuous, and sjaak being one of the semi-involved factions I thought nothing of sharing the text, which seemed to have nothing actually confidential in it. I would like to discuss a few interesting-looking orders that came back with it, which Sjaak swears are actually from monster island. If I can cause this much conflict just by using the online editor, I think we have an answer... It's me. I'm tainted by evil... actually, thinking about it, I have been bargaining for demons recently... TonyH
