Hi,

I have a small, 4 ship squadron...

Every time I move it it reports something like:

"Total TU cost for this action is 167 (28 TUs lost due to slower ships)."

It reports this on each ship in the squadron...

One of these must be the 'slower ships'... but which one?

Or is it a combination of different ships are slower at different types of movement ie orbiting/jumping/isr movement etc etc

Thanks for any help you can give.

I believe it works like this :

If you are moving from A to B then the program calculates the movement cost of all the ships and compares them : ISR, jumping etc

I assume the number of TUs lost is the amount between the fastest and slowest ship.

I got so sick of the message I reconfigured a couple of ships wink.gif

I think it is the difference between the fastest and slowest ships.

If they are all similarly configured, it may be worth checking the efficiency of the four ships - if one has recently had R&R then it may have temporarily be "quicker"

The squadron moves at the rate of the slowest ship, so "lost TUs" are those the faster ship(s) would have had available if they were not moving with the squadron.

Look at ISR engines, crew availability & orbiting times for differences. Additionally the efficiency status of a ship can effect its TU usage, as mentioned above.
