Emergency jumps attempt to jump into a random, adjacent, known system from anywhere in th eorginal system. Emergency jumps do not work 100% of the time Chance of Success: (System Ring^2)/2 (50% at ring 10, 100% at ring 15) There is the added mods of -10% if in orbit of a cellestial body -25% if Landed +0-50% based on combat experience Damage 50-150 Damage per hull (experience can cuts this by 0-50%) 0-50% integrity loss So only jump with light hull ships if you are feeling lucky and with XLight ships if you want to toast them. Other ships will not be happy after the jump (approxhull damage - heavies ~25%, normals ~50-60%) Bottom line is that emergency jumps really are for emergencies. | |

Hi, Are emergency jumps now reported to other ships at the location? I believe this came up some time ago, the ship in question just seemed to disappear. It would also be nice to have messages like: "PIRATE Crow Road failed to emergency jump" "PIRATE Crow Road attempted emergency jump and was destroyed" for everyone who is nearby. rob |
