Here's a Tech manual I've just recieved...

Dr. Lecota (xxxx) - 1 mu

None

Item Type: Political (Normal)
Race: Human
Output: 14
Lifeform: Yes
Movement Rate: 100 (Ground)

Why is there no 'combat' info?

What is the output of 14?

Here's a few more...

Comrade Vortan (xxxx) - 1 mu

None

Item Type: Officer (Normal)
Race: Kastorian
Naval Officer: Yes
Experience: 7 %
Lifeform: Yes
Movement Rate: 100 (Ground)

This Naval officer won't fight in a ground battle...

But this Civilian officer will...

Lord Vivi (xxxx) - 1 mu

None

Item Type: Officer (Normal)
Race: Human
Lifeform: Yes
Movement Rate: 100 (Ground)
Defence: 2 mus
Attack Range: Short
Ground Combat Factors: 2
Preferred Spread: Close

Blast Radius: 0

I'm emailling the turn report to KJC... so they can look at the position numbers.

Thanks.

officer items inherit the ground combat stats of the item they were created from - if they were created from an employee, etc. they won't have and combat starts

I think they count as veterans of that type don't they? at least one of my officers appears to provide 8 crew factors.

hmm i wonder if making an officer from a vet crew would give 16 factors

Hmmm...

That means I have civilian officers who will fight for me and also Naval officers that are cowards...

Maybe Naval officers should only be created from 'combat' lifeforms, not civilians - though this is a really minor thing.

Anyone know what that 'output 14' means though?

That's the one I was really interested in...
