Okay, it's an area I thought I was 100% about but re-reading the rule updates for platforms etc has got me confused (easily happens, I know). Regarding crew factors, the way I understand it is that any given platform requires: A ) Sufficient crew factors aboard to run the place B ) 1 platform control complex per 100 hulls uplinked to the platform to 'slave' it to the starbase. Is this correct? Or am I just going loopy?

Yes thats it. If the platform is not slaved it works at 20% but ccan be over crewed. Also the platform does not have to be in the same system as the starbase

Excellent, thanks. | |||||

So platform control complexes are now essentially external bridges for platforms, right?

Essentially, yup - a platform can be created independently of the 'build platform control complex' order, and later uplinked to a PCC via the 'uplink platform control' order.

So is there any point putting battle bridges in platforms?
Mica Goldstone | |||||
Not that I know of, have you noticed a difference?
Andy | |||||
Not really had a chance to see the effect. Thought it would allow protection for crew / troops etc as well as control the platform, but if there is no point having them I'll put more weapons in

If you look at the thread: http://www.spacious.com/forums/index.php?s...ic=12&hl=bridge then it states that (battle) bridges protect 25 crew/marines each. Is this therefore only applicable to ships or to platforms as well? I presumed both from the thread, but can this be clarified please. Nik

Yes this is the case |
